Gradus. Passages towards the new

The first part of the Reggio Parma Festival’s 2024 joint project kicks off, this year articulated in different cultural offerings that will accompany Parma and Reggio Emilia, partner cities of the Reggio Parma Festival together with Fondazione Teatro Due, Fondazione Teatro Regio di Parma and Fondazione I Teatri di Reggio Emilia, until 2025.

Starting today, the call for applications opens to participate in “Gradus. Passages towards the new,” a project aimed at fostering and stimulating an intergenerational passage/exchange of knowledge and boosting the creative awareness of the new generation of live performance.

Gradus is proposed as a creative workshop in which it is intended to make possible a meeting between ‘Masters’ and ‘Masters’ of the present and the ‘Protagonists’ and ‘Protagonists’ of the future, who will share a path of in-depth study, training and ideation articulated in stages and aimed at the creation of new and authentic productive experiences for all intents and purposes, both for the artists and for the audience.

The ultimate goal is the production and staging, in the fall of 2025, of three shows, selected along the way, that will be part of the programming of Festival Aperto, Festival Verdi and Teatro Festival. The shows, supported by Reggio Parma Festival, will be produced in line with the production standards of the playbills in which they will be included.

The call for participation is open to creative teams or professional individual(s) of any nationality, who have not exceeded 35.o years of age.
